Oh yeah

At long last I have obtained a graphics tablet so from now on I will stop being lazy and actually draw real strips for THC. Today's strip showcases my drawing 5ki11z0rz. Any fans of Questionable Content may find it familiar, as I am vaguely copying QC's style while I develop my own. Hopefully it's not too copy-ish. And if you're wondering why this strip has no dialogue and no action... have you ever been unemployed?

Following on from my previous post: I got my green P plates. Which, if you happen to not be Australian, will mean nothing to you.

The evils of Sudoku revealed!

While I ate breakfast this morning, I started doing the "Samurai Sudoku" in the paper. Basically it's five overlapping sudokus.

It wasn't until I had been doing it for a while that the seemingly innocent pattern of numbers began to take on a sinister appearance. Here is a photo to emphasize the shape.

That looks a bit like... a satellite, does it not? It got me thinking, maybe terrorist groups are using these sudokus to communicate plans for their terrorist activities. This could be a satellite that they will use to annihilate the infidels- I mean, commit atrocities against innocent civilians. Maybe it's equipped with mega-lasers, death beams, etc. that will destroy entire cities. Click here for an artist's rendition (well, my rendition).

The sudoku puzzle may come into play in other ways too. Perhaps all the fives are the positions of the photon death-beams (so it can obliterate 41 cities at once), and all the eights are the locations of the secret communication nodes so the signal can be sent at precisely the right time for all the secret Al Qaeda operatives to assassinate world leaders and take over the world.

Having uncovered a terrorist conspiracy, I suppose my house will be the first to get destroyed by the satellite's plasma-ion destructo-lasers. Oh well.

In other news, I have Photoshop now. It's pretty cool. Here's my first effort.

Now I'm going down town to go for my green P's and then see if the bookshop has the new Tucker Max book.

Just the one then

Tonight was rather interesting, and in fact I am still under the influence of the certain substance that made it so. I went to a party for some guy I don't know and somehow I got in, even though there were some faux-bouncers not letting people in who weren't invited (I was with some friends who seemed to slightly know him so I guess they assumed I did too). We hung around there for a bit.

I know in a post I did about a week ago I said I need to drink less but at this party I bummed some beer off a mate (Mix Master Moff) and once I have the taste of beer I need MORE! So we went down to the pub (the Newie) and hung around there some more, drank more beer and got fairly drunk. I got a Guinness and put the glass in my pocket so I could steal it (I like stealing schooner glasses. It is my revenge on pubs for over-charging on beer). I also pocketed another Guinness glass that some guy put on our table. I hit the dance floor for a bit and then we left.

So I get to Mix Master Moff's house where some lads are gathered. I still have both glasses in my pockets.

Me "Hey guys look what I nicked from the Newie. Not one-" (I pull out one of the glasses) "-but two-" (I pull out the other glass)
*SMASH* (I drop the second glass and it breaks)
(silence)
Roff "Just one then?"
Me "Yeah, just one."
(NOTE: Much swearing edited out)

I was pissed off. All that effort (well, not much effort really) to nick two glasses to add to my collection, and I end up with just one. Damn drunken clumsiness.

Hasta la vista, bitch

It's finished! My seven-barreled cannon is complete, and it's even better than I dared hope. It looks like a minigun. To read the details and see the pictures, head over to my cannons page.

I have an RSS feed for THC now, so if you use RSS you can keep track of updates.

Other stuff is in the works - stay tuned.

My poor liver

I need to stop drinking so much. I have been drunk the last three nights. Obviously I don't usually drink that much but even so it can't be healthy.

On thursday night I got into the wine with some friends and got pretty drunk. On friday night I drank some beer and watched Saw II with some other friends. I was somewhat inebriated. Last night I went to a party where there was free beer and you can guess what happened...

Long story short, I drank lots, then went to the pub for a bit and stole a glass which I think I left in a friend's car, went back to the party and drank more, then went to another pub and danced quite a lot, then came home. When I got home I got the Sydney Morning Herald that had been delivered, unwrapped it and scattered it around the living room weeding out the sections I would want to read in the morning. I then decided to send long emails to Ryan North and Jeph Jaques. Upon reading them again I am quite embarassed.

One barrel is not enough

THC makes its return today. I still haven't recorded that song I mentioned a while ago, for several reasons. But I will, I promise. I have put up a new cannons page in Other Stuff, where I am chronicling the construction of my seven-barrelled cannon.

In other news, I have come into posession of a DVD burner at long last. I might use it to get pictures from movies for THC strips. Not much else is happening, other than I'm giving serious thought to moving to Sydney. Unemployment sucks.

Off the grid

My confounded inter-webs connection has been off since friday because my crappy ISP got their server screwed up (or something) by a power cut. It sucked. As a result I missed last week's installment of THC and I couldn't be bothered doing a late edition, so there.

Because of said power cut, I had to reset most of the clocks around here. I then had to adjust some of the clocks again because of daylight-savings ending. Then today, some blokes from Country Energy were doing something and had to turn the power off for a bit, so guess what?

I came across Tard-Blog today, a blog written by a special-ed teacher. It's funny as hell, in a sad sort of way.

I should probably go to bed.
